ACs are good ACs work fine, They keep you dry and make you smile, But when you shift gear for a quarter mile, Sweaty palms are just a waste of time.
Be it first person shooters, combat or plain old car racing, gaming with a conventional controller has a major drawback sweaty palms. This may seem trivial to a novice, but when it comes to enthusiasts, the fraction of a second spent in wiping your hands on your jeans is the difference between victory and defeat, life and death.
Logitech takes its gaming products seriously, they’re the ones with precision controllers, backlit gaming keyboards, feedback joysticks, each of which have proven themselves worthy time and again. And now they come up with the ChillStream, a product that will make you say “why didn’t I think of that!”
At first glance, the ChillStream”I has an uncanny resemblance to the Xbox 360 controller, which is good news for 360 users. The controller uses a patented air-flow-based cooling system, where air actually flows from within the controller and into your fingers and the palm! The stream is eerily silent, can be turned off or be set to an interval mode, where the air flows in short spurts. It is extremely comfortable, and it feels surprisingly light when you consider that inside it is a miniature version of your ceiling fan! Easy-grip plastic on its sides and bottom, ensure that even if you have the stream turned off, you still won’t drop the damn thing!
Upside: It addresses a serious issue that has forever plagued gamers.
Flipside: Might be a turn-off for PS3 enthusiasts, who might take time to get used to the layout.
Buy if: Nature has blessed you with sweat all year round.
